We’ve recently completed a full roof clean on a property in Formby, delivering a noticeable improvement to both the appearance and condition of the roof. Over time, moss and organic growth can build up on roof tiles, holding moisture and causing them to look tired while also increasing the risk of long-term damage. The process began with the careful removal of all moss from the roof surface. Once cleared, we carried out a tile clean using our specialist roof surface cleaner set to low pressure. After the tile cleaning was completed, all gutters and drainage channels were fully cleared to ensure rainwater can flow freely away from the property. Blocked gutters are a common issue following moss growth, so this step is essential to prevent future overflow and water-related problems.
To finish the job, a biocide treatment was applied across the roof. This treatment helps slow down the return of moss, algae and other organic growth, keeping the roof cleaner for longer and extending the benefits of the clean well beyond the day we leave site.
