Anti Bribery Policy

Street Clean Ltd is committed to conducting its business honestly, fairly and with integrity. We take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption in all our dealings, wherever we work and whoever we work with.

Scope

This policy applies to all directors, employees, agency workers, subcontractors, suppliers and anyone else acting on behalf of Street Clean Ltd.

Our commitment

We comply with the Bribery Act 2010. No one working for us or on our behalf may:

  • offer, promise or give a bribe, whether in money, gifts, hospitality or any other advantage, to win or keep business or gain an improper advantage
  • request, agree to receive or accept a bribe of any kind
  • bribe a public official, including any officer of a local authority or other public body
  • make facilitation payments or pay kickbacks of any kind
  • turn a blind eye to bribery by others acting for the company

Gifts and hospitality

Modest, occasional gifts and hospitality are acceptable where they are given openly, are proportionate, and are not intended to influence a business decision. Anything beyond a token value must be declared to a director before it is offered or accepted. Cash, or cash equivalents such as vouchers, must never be given or received.

Tendering and procurement

We compete for work fairly and on merit. Quotes and tenders are prepared honestly, and we select our suppliers and subcontractors on the basis of quality, safety, value and reliability.

Record keeping

We keep accurate financial records and have controls in place so that every payment made or received has a legitimate business reason.

Raising a concern

Anyone who suspects bribery or corruption, or who is offered a bribe, must report it to a director as soon as possible. Concerns raised in good faith will be treated in confidence and no one will suffer any detriment for raising them.

Breaches of this policy

A breach of this policy by an employee will be treated as a disciplinary matter and may amount to gross misconduct. We may end our relationship with any subcontractor or supplier who breaches it. Bribery is a criminal offence and may be reported to the relevant authorities.
