Slavery Policy

Street Clean Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings, and to making sure that modern slavery has no place in our business or our supply chain.

Scope

This policy applies to all directors, employees, agency workers, subcontractors and suppliers.

What we mean by modern slavery

Modern slavery includes slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking, as set out in the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It involves one person depriving another of their freedom in order to exploit them.

Our commitments

  • Everyone who works for us does so freely and is free to leave their employment after giving reasonable notice.
  • We carry out right to work checks on everyone we employ.
  • We pay at least the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage and comply with working time rules.
  • Wages are paid directly to the worker, and we do not charge recruitment fees or keep hold of identity documents.
  • We do not use child labour.
  • Where we use agency labour, we use reputable agencies only.

Our supply chain

We expect our suppliers and subcontractors to share our commitment and to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We choose who we work with carefully and will not knowingly work with any business involved in slavery or human trafficking. We may end our relationship with any supplier or subcontractor found to be in breach of this policy.

Awareness

We make our team aware of the signs of modern slavery and of what to do if they have a concern.

Raising a concern

Anyone who suspects modern slavery in our business or supply chain should report it to a director straight away. Concerns can also be reported to the Modern Slavery and Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700, or to the police. Concerns raised in good faith will be treated in confidence and no one will suffer any detriment for raising them.
